CPP Research Support - Request for Support

CPP, Inc., provides support to qualified investigators who are conducting research that make use of CPP assessments as a primary contributor to their study.  By offering this support CPP intends to (1) build on and extend existing research, (2) develop new areas of inquiry, and (3) extend the use of CPP published assessments.

Support provided generally consists of free or discounted:

  • account on SkillsOne.com, CPP’s online assessment system ($300 value)

  • scoring and data extractions  ($225 value)

  • assessment administrations

With this package researchers pay only for the online assessments they use, with no additional fees for setup, administration, or data extractions. And researchers will be able to take advantage of all the benefits of SkillsOne.com.

Please note that although researchers can "turn off" certain non-required SkillsOne® demographics, it is not possible to add other questions or measures. Researchers interested in collecting assessment data anonymously should instruct their participants to enter a code in the "Personal ID" field, leaving the first name and last name fields blank.

Other kinds of support, such as reduced prices on prepaid answer sheets or use of Discovery (this website), will be considered. All proposals must be completed in English, but CPP encourages proposals for research internationally and in multiple languages.

To qualify for support, a completed "Request for Research Support" is required. All proposals and supporting documents should be sent to research@cpp.com. Proposals will be reviewed within four weeks.

Researchers requesting support should expect to:

  • Make regular progress reports to CPP
  • Make a good faith effort to publish or present study findings
  • Provide CPP with copies of any published papers, etc., that result from supported studies
